DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (U11–U12)

The Bridge Between Grassroots and Premier

The U11–U12 Development Program prepares players for the demands of Manitoba Rush’s Premier pathway. These ages represent a critical transition from introductory soccer to structured competitive development.

Program Features

• One-season model (current structure)

• Increased focus on technical excellence

• Structured introduction to tactical principles

• Club-operated training and controlled scrimmages

• Rush Way coaching methods used consistently

 • Age-appropriate physical literacy and movement development

 • Game understanding introduced through guided scenarios

Rush Development Tournament (U11–U12)

To supplement developmental training and provide competitive motivation, Manitoba Rush FC will operate a full-match Development Tournament for U11–U12 players.

This tournament provides:

 • Full-match playing experience

 • Balanced rosters

 • No standings or tracked competition tables

 • Safe, development-centered competitive exposure

 • A supportive tournament atmosphere

This tournament system bridges the gap between jamboree-style play and the match structure of the Premier Program.

2027 Transition

In alignment with Canada Soccer’s evolving youth structure, the U11–U12 age group will transition to a full Grassroots Jamboree Model by 2027.
